Winery Estate
The city of Valandovo lies on a crossroad, which leads to Greece on south, Bulgaria on east and Turkey on southeast. Thessaloniki seaport is only 80 km away. According to climate characteristics and EU classification, Republic of Macedonia belongs in III-C-b zone for producing wine types of grape, and has adopted the enological regulations for this zone.

Soil
The Macedonia series consists of very deep, well drained soils on ridgetops. They formed in a thin layer of loess or silty slope alluvium and the underlying residuum from clayey shales and cherty dolomite or cherty limestone.
Climate
The influence of the mild Mediterranean climate with over 300 sunny days a year and moderate winters place this area among the ecological gardens in Europe. Summers are hot and dry and winters moderately cold.
Grapes
In our vineyards we produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Cardinal, Ribier, Victoria, Afus-Ali, Muscat Italy, Michaeli Palieri, Vranec, Riesling, Belan, Zilavka, Smederevka, and we buying the other varieties from local small grape growers.
Solar
The average annual sunny days are 300 days with, makes it perfect for viticulture and wine making. Our Macedonian wines are listed in CIIIb (C3 b) wine growing zone, where are also listed the finest wines of France, Corsica, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece.
Vineyard
Wine cellar Valandovo is 100% privately owned and it consists of wine cellar with cooling plant, vineyards plantation named Pogana, Josifovo, Pirava, Čaparica and Rabrovo are spread out on 1000 hectares. The hight of the vineyards varies from 110 – 650 meters.
Winery
This winery was built in 1948, and it is one of the oldest wine vaults in Macedonia. The capacity was enlarging constantly thru the years with overhead Inox cisterns, to the present value of 12.5 million liters.
